About UsTurbo-Nutters was started around January/February 2001, the aim back then was to play around with cheap old cars to see what could be done on a tiny budget. This is where the idea of 'Project Escort Mexico' came from. It was a pretty good project and turned out some pretty interesting results. The site started from there but has since taken a different turn and expanded into something the founding members could never imagine! The original founding members of Turbo-Nutters were Nik and Barry. Barry left the country to lead a new life over in France. Nik asked a friend, Karl, if he was interested in helping run the site. Karl joined Nik in turning Turbo-Nutters into what it is today. The site was moved to a new host, and the hosting package has been updated a few times to cope with the amount of new visitors and content of the site. One thing TN excels at is the quality of video clips. The little snippets of footage that can be found on TN has been very popular and it is an area that will continue to grow with exclusive material only available to this site. The forum has been a great source of information and can be a helpful tool if you have a problem. It is also a good laugh! Since the birth of TN, feature cars have always been displayed in great detail and depth. Check out other sites and you will see a few pictures and a brief spec of each car. TN will give you FULL details of each car seen on here. We are big fans of modified cars and we like to show our enthusiasm with our visitors by doing what we do, right!
